Frequently Asked Questions
What is a domain name?
A domain name is the web address, or URL, where visitors can find your website. A personalised domain gives your website a professional look, strengthens your brand and helps visitors find you more easily online.
What is the difference between buying a domain and a hosting package?
Buying a domain involves registering a unique name that will serve as your website’s address on the internet (e.g. yourwebsite.pl). A domain is a kind of ‘address’ on the web, which allows users to find your website easily.
A hosting package, on the other hand, is a service that provides space on a server where all your website’s files are stored – from text to images and databases. Hosting ensures that your website is available online and can be visited by users.
To sum up:
- A domain is a unique address on the Internet where your website is hosted.
- Web hosting is online space that enables your website to function and be visible on the internet.

Is domain name privacy protection worth it?
Domain privacy protection (Whois Privacy) is worth it because it protects your personal details, such as your email address and telephone number, from being made public. This helps you avoid spam and unwanted contact, and protects you from harassment. It’s a good way to maintain your privacy online.
